Human Design Birth Time Finder
Don't know your exact birth time? You may not need it. This free tool draws your Human Design chart across the whole day, shows what's already certain, and helps you narrow down the rest.

Why birth time matters in Human Design
Your Human Design chart is built from the exact moment you were born. Some of it barely moves over a day, and some of it turns on the minute. Whether that matters for you depends entirely on your own chart.
The parts most sensitive to time are your Profile lines and the fast-moving placements, because the Moon travels through the chart quickly. Those can shift a defined channel, which can change a defined center, which is what can flip your Authority, and in some cases your Type. Your Authority is the biggest one to pin down, since it is your whole way of making clear decisions. So a birth time that is off by an hour can hand you a different decision-making strategy than the one you actually run on.
Here is the good news that most tools hide: for a lot of people, Type and Authority hold steady across a wide window. You can often know your core design even when the clock is fuzzy. You just have to see where your specific chart is solid and where it moves.
What the finder does
The finder computes your real chart at every minute of your birth day and lays it out on a simple timeline. For each attribute, it shows where the value holds and the exact clock time it changes:
- Type (Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, Manifestor, Reflector)
- Authority (Emotional, Sacral, Splenic, and the rest)
- Profile (your two lines, like 1/3 or 4/6)
- Rising sign, if you want the astrology view too
You set the window you are fairly sure of, and it tells you plainly how much is locked. If your Type and Authority never change across your window, you are done: that part of your design is certain. If they do change, it shows you exactly which times give which reading.
How to narrow down your birth time
You know more than you think. The finder turns a few easy answers into a much smaller window.
Was it light or dark out?
This is the single strongest clue, and the finder computes your actual sunrise and sunset for the day and place you were born. Knowing it was light or dark out cuts the day roughly in half on its own.
Roughly what part of the day?
Morning, midday, afternoon, evening, overnight. Even a rough answer usually leaves only two or three possibilities to compare.
Which reading feels like you?
When your window still holds a couple of options, the finder shows you each one in plain language and asks which you recognize in yourself. The Type or Authority that matches how you actually operate is a real signal pointing back to when you were born.
Track down the record
If you want the real number, your long-form birth certificate (the full certified copy, not the short wallet version) usually lists the time. Hospitals keep delivery records, and baby books, newspaper birth announcements, and older relatives are worth asking. Request the long form from your birth state's vital records office and ask them to include the time of birth.
Then hear it, made for you
Once you have your best estimate, YouCast can build a full personalized podcast episode from that chart: two hosts walking through how your energy works, how you are built to decide, and what it looks like in your real life. If you later confirm your exact time, you can have it re-run. New to the mechanics? Start with how to read your Human Design chart or the five Human Design types.
Common questions
Can I use Human Design without my exact birth time?
Often, yes. A lot of your chart holds steady across several hours, so parts of your design are knowable even with a fuzzy time. The finder shows exactly which parts are already certain and which still depend on the exact minute.
How much does birth time affect a Human Design chart?
It varies by chart. For some people Type, Authority, and Profile stay the same across a whole morning. For others one of them flips within minutes. The finder scans all 24 hours so you can see the exact times anything changes.
How can I find my real birth time?
Your long-form birth certificate usually lists it. Hospitals keep delivery records, and baby books, birth announcements, and family memory often help. When you remember whether it was light or dark out and roughly what part of the day it was, the finder narrows the window from there.
Is it free?
Yes. Completely free, no account, no payment. Your birth details are used to draw your chart in your browser and are not stored.
What if I still don't know my exact time?
The finder gives you a best-estimate window and lets you feel which reading matches your life. From there you can get a full personalized episode built for your best estimate, and update it later if you confirm the time.
